I already have some R2R in my short recording experience (revox, Tascam)
I would like to know if somebody has ever tried one of this, and what to think compared to revox, Tascam?

hey all! i'm a young recording engineer trying to learn as much from all of you as i can. i was wondering if someone can clear up for me what i need to set up A/D/Aconverters before i buy them. i was thinking of purchasing Apogeeconverters.

I have been learning about audio engineering for many years now as a kid but what I still have never had anyone explain to me is the topic of phase issues. For instance, I was reading that there will be phase problems if you mic the top of a snare and the bottom if the mics are at a similar distance. I can see that being a problem but how can you spot phase problems?

ive been recording into the computer for a while now. i would like to get a reel-to-reel deck to do some experimenting with but i am totally new to the medium. ive been searching ebay and there are quite a few options. i know it is a crap shoot when dealing with ebay but what are your opinions on the different cheaper ($100-$300) vintage decks out there?

Can someone who uses Nero Express 6 or higher tell me how to follow the instructions found on this page: http://www.freedom-to-tinker.com/?p=946 The problem is that the version of nero used in that page is an older version and I am having trouble following through on the instruction after a certain point.
