USB Audio Interface with SPDIF

I have a trusty old Apogee Mini-Me pre-amp/compressor with drivers that don't work with anything beyond Windows XP.

For a time, I got away with using it via SPDIF  through my trusty old Egosys U2A - it's a cheap little USB Audio Interface which amazingly has both optical and SPDIF ins and outs and cost me less than $100 about a hundred years ago. (I know! Right?)

Monitoring with Samplitude Pro X

Monitoring with Magix Samplitude Pro X

In this video I show how I do my monitoring setups with RME Totalmix FX and also using Samplitude alone for those who don't have a virtual mixer for their interface.

One of my Youtube Viewer bought a PreSonus Q2626, it seems to not have a virtual mixer and aimed to be driven by studio one..  I hope this will work with samp as well.

Need more than 4 tracks on Zoom h4n

Is it possible to record more than 4 tracks on the h4n in MTR mode?  I would think bouncing to on mono track would allow you to add 3 more overdubs, bounce again and add 3 more. I have a project due tomorrow that requires 4 violins, 4 violas, 1 piano and 1 vocalist. I cannot get the h4n to open the bounce file nor does it open when I change the name to trk1-00 (the default name for track 1).

Is it possible to automate a click track?

I am using Pro Tools 12.8. was wondering if there is any way to create a click track to only run and then turn off after a few measures. I am recording with my friend who is playing drums while I am on guitar. We want to play our song live all the way through and want a nice click to begin with that ends after a few measures so that we can flow through the rest of the song.

Tone Empire Plugins released Reelight Pro (Tape Saturation and Compressor)

The invention of digital audio recordings liberated sound engineers in many ways which were not possible in the analog era. Even with all the tools at one’s fingertips, musicians and engineers sorely missed the sound and sonics of earlier recordings. The magic that the recording mediums imparted by default and one which was taken for granted.
