I have a home studio, as I'm sure many of you do. I want to take my vocals to the next level. First, a list of my toys:

--Neumann TLM 103 mic

--Aphex 230 Master Voice Channel Tube Mic Pre

--Panasonic RAMSA 26 channel board

--Digital Audio Labs CDX01 Sound Card

--ETC...

Well, I finally bit the bullet and purchased one of these. Sold my Lynx Aurora 8, not because of sound quality, it was superb, but because I had to take 4 x 5m long 8 channel snakes with me to site to connect it to stuff, and the Lynx Mixer software is a hinderance to use. I really like the AES connections though, this is pro.

Which Would you rather work with on Reason 4.0,MPK 49 Alone or M-Audi Axiom 49 AND MPD 24?.

I'm looking to get one or two ribbons (a new venture for this condenser addict) mainly for use as vocal or instrumental spots in classical work; just maybe as choral pickups when dealing with brass in the back row of an orch, or JUUUST MAAAAAYBE as a Blumlein pr. I'd be interested in any aneCDotes/experiences/recommendations retaled to these two mics in these applications.

Hi everybody, I'm new to recording.org, and I wonder what preamp tube I should buy (I wanna buy two differents, for recording in stereo with two large diaphragm condenser mics) with my external audio interface, a Tascam USL 122. I don't want to put more than 200$ canadian for both, before taxes.

Im Purchasing Reason 4.0 Tommorow Aswell as an Akai MPK 49- Key MIDI Controller.
Ihave NEVER used Reason in my life,does anyone know where to get full tutorials,the in's and outs of everything you need to know..for free?
