Recording piano and vocals - help!
I'm a piano teacher and composer and am exploring the options of investing in some technology to record both my own compositions and my piano lessons.
I've got my eye on a super bit of mixing kit but am completely stumped as to the best way of setting up mics so that they pick up both the piano and myself and the student's voices. I don't even know which mics would be the best.

Unwanted wierdness on vocal
Hi and hello to everyone, nice to be here.
I keep getting a strange high-endsound whilst recording vocals.
The mics are an SE11A and an SE Z5600A11 going straight into a Mackie
Onyx 1620. Level is at 0db and no effects in the chain and about 8-10 inches off the mics.
Anyone recognize what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks

Condenser mics for screaming vocals?
Well, I record a lot of speed punk music (think old DRI, RKL, Suicidal Tendencies, etc...), and I've just about had it with my Audix OM5. I just can't get a natural sound out of it: it isn't bright enough; I have to EQ so much it just sounds unnatural by the time I get it to the point where the vocals are clean and cutting.

Looking 4 M-powerd interface 4 good vocals?
Ok this is my situation. I am currently recording with Sonar 7, but I want to upgrade later on to Pro Tools as I learn how to use it. Pro Tools only works with m-powerd interfaces. So I dont want to watem oney to get 2 interfaces when I switch. I got a budget limit for only $400.

Need help recording vocals in stereo! :)
I'm brand new to this, and have just bought a PreSonus 1394 Preamp, which I control via a window on my computer. So far, when I plugin my mic to try vocal recordings, it's recording one-sided... as in, right headphone records from the right mic input, left from the left. I'm sure I don't have to have two mics to get a stereo recording, right? :)
