Anyone using Auralex acoustics?
How good are the Max-Walls for vocal booths? Does the foam hold up?

Room acoustics products / advice
I have the opportunity to move my studio equipment out of a small basement room into a "dedicated" second floor room in our oast house - if you don't know what one looks like, here's a link to a picture of a similar house!

Acoustics 201...
I'd been having a lot of trouble getting my mixes to translate well to other systems (a lot of trial and error - mostly error) and I finally did a sine wave plot of my monitor/room. No wonder...as much as 20db differences at some frequencies (I did three runs and averaged the results).

Studio Acoustics For the Poor
Okeydokey, I'm tired of not being able to hear anything in my studio. It's a spare bedroom with nice square walls and a closet with a building structure that resonates merrily with any bass coming out of my monitors.
I'd like to acoustically treat it. I don't want it live. I want it DEAD :)

home studio acoustics
It seems that everyone here has to deal with this eventually -- what are your tricks to tame small rectangular room problems?
I find smatterings of details for room treatments involving Owens Corning 703, but very few details on actual implementations.
What are people doing for a low cost solution? Are you hiring consultants to measure your rooms?
