Hey everyone - i'm looking into a new studio setup at home, and i'm curious to know you're feelings on how I should tune it up.

yeah I know this is a bit off subject but I value your all's opinions and was wandering what you guys/gals thought of the Larrivee line of acoustic for recording and live... I own a b-band pickup that I would install in one should I choose (Larrivee uses b-band technology) and I am impressed with the sound and action of some of the models that I have played so I guess the question is...

So I am working with a pretty talented band, but the rythym guitar player insists on playing all acoustic, but has a crappy Ovation that cant even stay in tune for a whole song.
I have tried every single one of my mics, all my pre's. nothing is working.

I didn't really know whether to put this in Mastering or Mixing, then I decided it had more to do with touching up rather than initial construction.

I'm pretty new to this site and recording in general, so please forgive my ignorance. Im also trying to do the best I can working with a pathetic budget. Up until now I have spent all my money on a hard track recorder, mixer, and mics and have just been monitoring with a cheap bookshelf stereo.

I was thinking today about stereo--- and a paper that i wrote a while back.

If i was listning to a single point source, and i moved to the left or right of it, not only would there be an amplitude difference, but there would be a time difference as well. So if a source was to the right of me, my left ear would recieve the information slightly later then the right ear.
