Hello all my first post here :D Im new to recordings though i have used pro studios many times for the bands that i have played in myself, i no longer have the time to travel to studios but still want to record new material, i would like to produce something of a decent standard if at all possible using a portastudio ! are there any machines worth buying ?

As a moderate newbie to mixing, I'm coming to realize that one of my biggest problems is that I can't get my reverbs to do what I want them to. The problem emerges in the full mix, not on the individual track/instrument (I can shape the individual reverb just fine, but it never sits right in the song).

I do a little recording at home with just vocals and acoustic guitar though a single condenser mic. I'm looking at the Behringer XENYX 1002FX

It seems like a nice little mixer for the price and has built in effects. But later I might want to add an external effects processor like a quadraverb.

First off I want to apoligize if this is the wrong forum to post this thread in, i looked and this was the best fit one.

i am having problems with acid pro 7 because like a dick i clicked the hard drive directory for VST's instead of leaving it as the designated VST folder. so now acid ends up just crashing whilst loading up, i have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it but the same thing happens.

It seems my old system is dying out on me so it's time for a new one. Technically it's gone kaput in the middle of a big project with fast approaching deadlines so I've had to get up to speed pretty quickly on things.

Hey there, i have a 3 month old Toshiba laptop that i use for live recording, I use an 18 channel USB interface and my computer struggles when using it and i've set aside about £70-140 to upgrade it a little, I'm basicilly looking for the most apropriate processor for the money, and a RAM upgrade if needed.. just wondered what anybody would recommend for me to do.
