I have the RME ADI-8 PRO, didnt test any other AD/DA.

But i'm thinking to buy other AD, a better than RME ADI-8 PRO

what you think of Apogee ROSETTA ?

Hey everyone...this is a mutiple part question...

Right now I run an FW1884 with CubaseSX2 on an iMac G5. CubaseSX is what I've been using for a few years, but it seems unstable on both Mac and PC. I'm also not totally satisfied with the FW1884, and it could be my error, but it just doesn't sound very good no matter what room treatment, mic set up, pres, or instruments I use.

Now I'm really in a pickle. .I'm selling my FW1884 and what to get either the RME Fireface or the Apogee Ensemble.

I use Cubase SX2 and DP4.

My main concerns are:

Which preamps do you think are better?

Which has better converters?

Which will provide the best overall performance?

which AD converter do u prefer?
i recorded them in same situation except for AD converter
they are already calibrated correctly.

This Looks Pretty Damn Sweet, just really curios how it performs sonically, but i guess, well, to Apogeeexpectations...

Am about to step my home studio up to 24/96 and my choices are:

1) DigiDesign 002

2) Apogee Mini-Me coupled with M-Audio Firewire Audiophile & M-powered Pro Tools

Any opinions?

Dose anyone know what the jumper settings are for the Apogee AP8-AD & DA cards?
I own an 02R96 and need to set both AP8 cards to 24 bit 96k.

I'm having no luck with my AP8 cards and O2R96. The Apogee manual isn't very indepth. I really want to rout my stereo bus and control room though the AP8-DA converters.
Can anyone give me some good advice?

P.S.
I Also can’t get my AP8-AD card to work.

I'm looking for the best A/D converters I can get for $1000 or less. The Lynx Two card stands out as a an obvious choice... I also will need D/A conversion, but mainly for monitoring. I'm not sending out to an analog board or anything.
