Suggestions needed for a new audio interface.
Hello to all Recording.org members. I am a real novice at recording. Two years ago, I agonized for months with Cubase LE4 and a PreSonus firebox to record exactly one song. The results were actually not bad, but the process was such agony I stepped away for a long time.
Is there a way to listen to sound on your PC through your Audio Interface?
I recently purchased an E-MU 0404, and when I have it plugged in, I can listen to files as long as I have Reaper opened and have put the file ON Reaper. Otherwise, I repeatedly have to unplug my headphones from the E-MU, and into my PC if I want to hear music, and back into my E-MU whenever I want to record. Is there a way to listen to the sound on my PC through the Audio Interface?

Hi,
My budget is about $500 for an Audio Interface. I've been looking through tons of audio interfaces and I'm not sure which one I should get. Which one produces the highest sound quality?
Here are the one's that stand out to me
1. Native instruments kontrol 1
2. M-Audio Fast Track Ultra
3. Focusrite Saffire 6 USB Interface
