SM57 vs. Audix i5
I know most consider the 57 industry standard, and a good go-to mic, but put popularity and all that aside. I want to know what you think of each of them and more importantly WHY.
Thanks!
EDIT: industry standard and go-to mic for Micing guitar amps and snare drums. Just so I don't get flamed for making a blanket statement. :p

Audix i5 vs. . Sennheiser e609
Ok...so I'm looking to expand (once again) my studios dynamic mic's...right now I'm recording only with Shure sm57's as my dynamic mics. I'm looking for I mic mainly for recording some guitar cabinets but it would be a plus if it could record some drum tracks/ other stuff...
both of the mics cost the same (100$) any one had some exprince with one or both of them?
what do u say?

Audix i5
Has anyone used this mic yet. Sounds interesting, but I really don't have the $100 to waste if it's not all it's cracked up to be.

re new Audix i5
Has anyone out there that are presently using the current "d" lineup of Audix mics used the new Audix i5? I am wanting to get it for snare/gtr amp/vox/tom/. I already have a sm57, beta57a, and e609 for those uses listed above, but I like to have options. But the i5 is only 99.99 and I think all of the other d series start at least 129.99 or so (that i remember seeing).
