Live recording: group track bounce or aux send?
When recording off of a live console, do you prefer using the group tracks or aux sends as your audio source into your DAW?
from aux out to headphone ?
I dont think it's a good idea to plug a set of headphones directly into an Aux output on my mixer. er, i dont know if it's a good idea; but i dont want to learn the hard way.
Is it safe to plus a pair of stereo headphones into an Aux out? i believe the out is stereo, but what if it's mono?
do i need some sort of adapter or something?

How many aux sends?
I'm used to mixing in the box and having virtually unlimited aux sends. I'm thinking about getting a budget console, I've been looking at the Ghost or the Venice, but I was wondering about the Midas Venice for example. I've read these specs:
4 Subgroups
2 Aux Pre-Fader (Monitor)
2 Aux Post-Fader (Effects)
2 Aux switchable Pre/Post-Fader

Pro Tools Aux Question
Is it common to have mics to auxs and then to an audio track.
Example: E. Guitar.
3 mics
3 auxs
1 audio track
Use three mics on the guitar cab, Then create three mono auxes for each mic. Send three auxs to audio track. Listen to each mic and adjust each aux accordingly to get desired sound to the audio track and then record.

My recorder has STEREO/AUX out, and MONITOR out... help!
sorry, i'm fairly new to all this.
i use headphones while i'm doing all my tracking, and i can get everything to sound good to my ear through them
however, i don't have monitor speakers. i just have my big stereo system that i usually hook up L/R rca speaker cables to, just to check that my mix will sound fairly decent on CD...
Aux sends feeding the cue mix
Up to now, I've been communicating with the tracking room via the PHONES socket on my Behringer Eurorack MX2642A http://www.Behringe…

Auxilliary cables
Hi all,
I have a really silly question, and I'm actually quite suprised that i don't know the answer to this, but perhaps i am not alone.
I have an allen & heath zone 62 mixer, on the back i have booth out, record out, main mix out, etc... and of course "Aux Out".
Now, i know most equipment (audio and video?) comes equipped with these "Aux Outputs".
