The speaker is shot.

How do I go about replacing it?

What are some good brands of speakers?

I have heard the eminances are good?

Ok so here's my dilemma.

So I'm EQing things on my track and I tend to roll of a lot of the bassy muddy frequency ... Which is pretty standard as far as I'm aware.

But I have one guy saying to me "Oh no don't roll off that much below 100hz on your bass guitar and kick drum, you'll lose all the subs"

Ok so this is pretty much a straight forward one. I know how I do this and the tone I get sounds pretty awesome.

I'm just wondering because I am open to ideas and always like to learn from people.

What do you guys use to record your bass and what is the typical EQ and compression application you would go by ?

I have been getting good general tones from recording my acoustic bass guitar, however, the action was factory set, and was high. I finally got around to dropping the string height somewhat, and of course the playing comfort is increased, but I am getting more fret buzz.

I'm currently mixing my bands album and got a query regards bass guitar.

I have set up a Waves C1 compressor in split mode so I can tame a particular frequency rangeas it reaches the set threshhold and this works great for the job.

All right. Here's the issue...

I'm getting a really weird high pitch interference will all my bass signals. It reminds me of what happens when someone notches up the higher freqencies in a mix. I'm using Adobe Audition (Which I've used plenty times before) with Windows Vista

What I've done

Well, I am having some trouble with the bass and bass intros on a bands EP i am recording for them. Here is what I have so far Your Friends Suck.rar

What can i do to make the bass not sound like sh*t on to intros and throughout the ep. It sounds fineish on my stereo, but not on my laptop speakers. I think the bass is too low.
