could I get some opinions on which board people would rather have for the pres Soundcraft Ghost, allen & heath GL2400 or the Mackie 24X8 not the onyx

hello...does anybody have tips on tracking a drumkit that's in the same room as the console? I've tracked drums many times, but never while I'm in the same room. The room is about 700 sq feet. Mic placement shouldn't be too hard and once I get good test sounds to tape, I can just monitor the meters.

what do you guys think?

I'm also considering a Midas venice 160, so if anyone has an opinion on that, it's welcome too.

Hi! I currently use an old MCI 416 console to an otari tape machine. It sounds pretty good, but can be noisy and unpredictable. I'm looking to get a cleaner sound but with good pre's. I just used an AMEK angela which sounds great but i dont think i can afford that. I've heard good things about ghosts. How do they compare? Would that be a step up or down from my mci?

How does it sound compared to (much, much more expensive) Neve or SSL -desks? What do you think about the eq's in it?

This desk looks like a pro-console at very affordable price... but is it?
