Hey guys Im new to Recording.org. I do have a question real quick if yall can get back to me on this, I am using Logic 9 right now and the CPU usage is so high its always crashing. Any suggestions on a great DAW that can run any Plugins/Vsts/etc. That will not crash?

Wondering if the i5 2500k Gen 2 chip which has on-chip gpu will affect daw performance when using this gpu instead of a separate video card ?
In terms of temps and speed since it does sit within the same die.

Along with Cubase 5 for audio I would be doing some infrequent video rendering but only at a pro-sumer level.

I am currently in the works of building a custom PC to be used mainly for audio recording purposes (ill use Cubase, Pro Tools, etc. ) and also will be used a bit for gaming and also for watching HD/Blu ray movies.

I just wanted to hear your opinion on this processor for these purposes and if not, suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)

I keep getting a CPU overload error in Pro-Tools when I bounce. My session is 1 stereo track with no plugins. A stereo master with MaxI'm and dither on it. 24/48k. Low latency is off. When I bounce, I set the conversion quality to low. The HW Buffer size is 1024 samples, 90% CPU usage and 2 processor for the RTAS processor. My Computer info is Below.
