i have installed a Zalman flower cooler on 2.4ghz P4PE.
as i like (and need) a quiet computer, i've set the fan mate to silent mode but the mobo'hardware monitor doesn't like it and detects an error and windowsXP won't boot up unless i "ignore" (F1).

HI...I HAVE THE P4 2.4G FSB 533 512K CACHE CPU...IT CAME IN THE BOX. ACTUALY THE STOCK CPU COOLER IS NOT SO QUIET.. I REALY DON-T WANT NOISE IN MY DAW..I HAVE THE ANTEC AMG PLUS 1080 CASE. CAN YOU SUGEST ME A GOOD CPU COOLER?...WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THE ZALMAN 7000ALCU?...IS IT A GOOD CHOICE?

is better to keep the original CPU FAN or i have to change it?...i am thinking to buy a P4 2.4Ghz processor...for the DAW that i intend it to build...

I think I read somewhere that win98 would not support cpus over 2.0. True? Not true? I'm wanting to upgrade and am planning to dual boot 98se and 2000pro. My ADAT card that I still use for transfers to pc will only work in 98 or 98se. If only Alesis would give updated drivers to us few remaining users. .

I read here about checking / monitoring the CPU temprature. How is this done? Thanks Fats

Guys. .I just got my WD JB 40GB drive...did a ghost disk to disk transfer from my old drive to the new one. Booted up..not much boot up time difference but here's the kicker :D

I am running a g4 533 with logic 5 and digi 001 card. I am mixing full drums, guitars, keys, multiple vocals, etc...and i am running out of cpu power with the plugin count. I have heard about the new uad 1 card from Mackie and tc powercore card. .anybody using these? i was wondering should i try to upgrade my cpu or look into one of the uad 1 cards. thanks Mukshoe

Im running an 800 mhz p3 256 ram. I get this message a little prematurely I think not yet 24 tks. Some hungry plug- ins though, Renasaince Waves stuff. Will more Ram help this? Thanks

I'm helping my brother upgrade his DAW PC. He's got a 2408MKII, looking to get a high-end processor, possibly dual processor for DV use as well. His main application is Vegas Video. (Vegas 3 added dual processor support.)
