In acid pro can I compose classical music via notation? Does acid pro have the ability to provide me with decent quality synths (strings, brass, winds, piano, etc)?

Problems with new computer

I recently purchased a desktop from ADK, and while I am happy with it for the most part, I am having some serious problems with basic stuff. I'm hardly even using any of the comp's power and when doing simple things like opening a plugin or saving or even when I open a project, my DAW freezes and doesn't respond, which usually results in a force quit.

Midi lag - bought new computer and didn't fix it.

Hello everyone. I've got a Tascam US-144 and a Studiologic midi controller. All I'm trying to accomplish right now is to get my Midi controller to play piano sounds so I can learn to play. So I'm not using any recording software right now. I used to have a P4, 1GB Ram, IDE HD, Win XP computer and was using CVPiano software that came with the Tascam.
