Questionnaire: Can Analogue and digital recording co-exist?

1) What is your preferred medium for recording, analog tape or digital and why?

2) Do you feel there is still a cold vs warm debate in terms of actual recording medium and front end and processing equipment given digital recordings progress?

Anyone have any experience with any units from the new(ish) Behinger XR12/16/18 X Air digital mixer line (Avid

I know Behringer had a bad rap, but the XR18 has exactly the features that I'm looking for (it's essentially a digital snake that you can put on the floor in the middle of the stage, and mix if from an iPad anywhere in the house using the built-in Wifi).

We do a range of specialist CDs that are sold via our website, but we've just put a couple on amazon to try it out. However, because of the specialist nature we make samples available so people know what they are buying.

Everything must change... I have been a medium term user of UA's Apollo Quad interface, along with an RME AD-8-DS for extra inputs via ADAT. Recently, UA has started putting greater emphasis on their MAC/Thunderbolt development effort, and letting the firewire support lag behind.

I don't use Avid so I am somewhat clueless to their current integration with other systems . What is the difference between the Analog and Digital versions? No analog ins?

Anyone using the Slate Digital FG-X? Would love to hear what your thoughts are on it.

Hi folks. This seemed the best sub forum for this, please forgive and advise if i'm wrong.

A friend of mine passed away about a year ago, young kid, really sad. I found this audio recording I made in which he's talking for about 20 minutes straight (he liked to talk--most 17 year olds do!)
