I've just got Samplitude 9 Pro and I'd like some recomendations for specific off-the-shelf desktops and laptops (under £1000) that will do the business as an audio computer. I'm an acoustic musician, so I won't be running a shed-load a simultaneous tracks.

I've only read positive feedback on this product, and it has been a quite struggle for some pros. to decide between this system and the 8030A Genelec's.

My alternative is a pair of ESI nEar 06.

Hey everyone, I'm trying to see what would be the best type of mic to use to amplify my voice while I'm playing online games. I'm going to be wearing wireless headphones and turning off my pc speakers so I'm just looking for an above average mic to mount on a small die cast stand on my desktop.

hello ;] ...i have been thinking about what desktop monitor buy. i looked on several pages but since i am no expert in field of monitors i wanted to ask people that have some experience.

Ok, I have an XP Home desktop with 512mb of Ram, two hard drives...it's a decent machine to run Cubase SX 2.0 and my Tascam FW1884. Since it is Windows...this machine can be pretty unstable. Anyways, I wanted to a get laptop (Mac G4 IBook) to do some live recording and I was planning on getting a fast external firewire drive. Now here is my question.

through a Sony CFD-Z550 boombox.
I use a CD-to-tape adapter from the stereo
out of these cheap generic thailand computer
speakers that came with the computer.

1. Can the CD-to-tape adapter alter or mess
with the sound signal?
