ok, i'm very limited, but my band is trying to make a demo. i have a the M-AUDIO Delta 10/10LT interface, and Logic is my platform.

my selection of mic's are:
3 sm 57's, the Audix Drum mic 6 pack(2 condensers overheads, 3 tom mics, one kick) i also have a regular seinnheisor vocal mic.

If so ? Where more or less do you place the mic or mics ? by this I mean distance from the source and from the floor.

What mics do you use (brand & model) ? and how many. Do you use Omnis, figuer 8, cardiods ?

How simple is this? Does the 002r take the midi direct or will I need another outboard gear option to do this.

What I want is each trigger to be on a sperate track in PT LE so I can mess with each signal individually.

How to I guess.

I have the Roland TD-6V as the main brain to the kit.

I'm looking for a good sampler to use primarily on drums. a friend of mine had the akai z8 rack and his drums sound as live as anything but I still want advice before going out and spending 1,500$. any ideas or anything new out there?

I'm recording drums tomorrow for the 1st time at my home studio.
Last minute posting, I know, but my isp was down!

I've done this in a real studio before but never in my home unit.

The room I'm using is my living room which has the usual 8' ceiling.
I think its about 15'x15.

Does anyone here use FXpansion BFD Drum Instrument? Or heard anything about it? sure looks cool...

Has anyone had any experience recording a fully miked drumset (7-Mics or more) to a stereo track? If you have, please share your experience and techniques to get a good sound.

I have an old CB percussion kit. It has been refitted with all new remo pinstripe heads and a newly tuned snare, cymbals and pedals/hardware. I cant get a decent recording out of it at all, i dont know what I'm doign wrong. the bass drum maybe too narrow for the bass response i want or the mic could be positioned wrong.

For my bands demo I'm recording drums by using a mixture of mics and the roland TD6 module. the reason why i turned to this approach is because the acoustics are very bad and the module works wonders in this kind of situation.

mics are used for the cymbols & hi-hat where as the TD6 module is used for the snare bass and toms.
