I understand that higher sampling rates and bit depth are important when doing DSP on digital audio. I also understand that 16/44.1 is pretty much bottom of the pile in terms of quality these days.

I'm trying to add a reverb plugin to the input channel of Cubase and have it set up so I can hear the effect while playing my guitar. if I hit record and play a riff the effect will print to disk but you can't hear it untill you play it back.

there has to be a way for me to route the input signal through a reverb plugin so that I can monitor it without having to record.

I am new to recording and am interested mostly in recording piano an vocal/choral music. Both my wife and I are classical trained singers. I also have a lot of choral music that I have composed and would like to quickly record without having to put together a choir.

Yesterday I did some simple recording duties for a live act (10 people with 3xvoc, 2xgit, tp/as/tb, b, dr, el-perc). The place they played had the usual setup of microphones available (meaning for vocals a choice of SM58, SM58 or SM58).

Im a new user with Wavelab 4, and I'm having problems when saving my .wavs..None of the VST effects i added to them, are there.. IT just plays the orginal recorded sample, w/ out the effects HOW CAN I SAVE .WAVS WITH EFFECTS? Is there something in the system config. i have to alter? Pleassse help anyone, who knows about this
