It is my understanding that boosting frequencies with an EQ will cause phase problems. Cutting frequencies will not cause these problems.

I don't understand the physics of this.

Is this due to time delay's in the EQ's filter?

Does this happen with all EQ types?

Is the phenomemon just ostensible? or related to specific sound cycle lengths?

I alaready have 2 soundcards installed on my pc: an echo mia and sb audigy.
I am thinking of buying an echo miamidi card, can a PC have 3 soundcards installed on it at the same time? Will I encounter any problems?

Ysterday I started a poll about sampling frquency and now I just can not see it anymore. A few folks seems to have voted. So, what is up?

Sometimes when a program is opening I have some audio running (winamp etc) The sound will start to stutter.
Also my mouse will tend to stutter aswell.
So this is either a memory, CPU or HD performance issue?
Ive Ran Hot CPU tester and it says i have 0 Problems.
Oh yeah this is NOT a virii prob.

Anyway - I am looking to treat a basement studio (15X40, app. 8 foot drywall ceilings) and feel that the foam corner absorbers offer the best bang for the buck in low frequency absorbtion.
