Peavey Spectrum bass sound module
Hi! I think the Peavey Spectrum bass was released around 1993. Have you guys listend or play with it?
Is it something like the sounds of a Roland TB101/303, Moog?
I have just found one lost here in Brazil for U$275, far from me, just can not test it.
What are your impressions?
Thanks
Nice weekend

Recording Crappy Acoustics
So I am working with a pretty talented band, but the rythym guitar player insists on playing all acoustic, but has a crappy Ovation that cant even stay in tune for a whole song.
I have tried every single one of my mics, all my pre's. nothing is working.

Audio reproduction system(amp and speakers)!
Hi moderators!
What is your prefered reproduction system?
what are your experience with different systems?
I've spent most of my life hearing music and learning about diffenrent systems, and very intence the last year because of me starting as mastering engineer.
I can say that what I've come up with now is the best sytem I've ever had, but no system is perfect :)
Sonar help
Hi, I'm kinda new at recording so this may seem dumb. Anyways I am getting the new Sonar program and was wondering this... I want to record live drums possibly as much as 8 mics on them. What do I need to buy other than the Sonar program to allow me to have complete control over every drum as if they were all seperate inputs.

Good digital piano
Hi, I'm looking for a good digital piano (starting out with piano lessons). I want it digital, because I want to connect it (MIDI) with my computer to do some recording or to play with virtual synths. My budget is around $1500.
Any suggestions?

Backing up HDs?
After reading through this thread:
(Dead Link Removed)
It has sparked some questions in my mind.
I just installed Cubase SX 2.0, and before doing so, I made sure I did a Ghost of my HD...
Took 12 CDs, and several hours.
I decided while I was at to back up the data drive since I am in the middle of an important project...22 more CDs.
