OK FATSO users - front and center :)

There just hasn't been enough said about this machine...lately. Now that you've had the FATSO for a while...what do you think of it now? Do any of the Analog Channel type pluginscompare? If you had a FATSO, would you still want the plugins Basically, any thoughts on this piece would be helpful, I'm considering buying four.

i have heard great things about the empirical labs stuff - the distressor and FATSO. i have budgeted some money for some new gear and was wondering...

if you had to choose one or the other, which would it be?

So if I've got a HEDD, do I need a FATSO?

I recently picked up a HEDD, and while I really like it for certain types of things, it seems like it's pretty easy to go overboard with the effect. The "triode" distortion, in particular, doesn't sound very musical to me... it kinda reminds me of the crappy DRG "radiance generator" function on my old Finalizer, which I didn't like either.

In honor of the revamped site, I thought it was high time for a new Celebrity Death Match-style thread.

Looking at getting a Distressor or FATSO for tracking on my DAW -- let me know what you think about either unit. .?
