FMR RNP vs. upcoming Audient ASP800
Ok, I know it's again another preamp post ! lol
So I'll make it short.
I already have 2 LA-610, 4-710, 4x ISA and a RME Fireface 800
I need at least 4 more preamp, to allow me to track a full band and this is not happening very often.

Integrating Voiceworks with Great River ME-1NV and FMR RNC to Saffire Pro 24 Dsp
ive had the Great River hooked up with the fmr using the patch jack.
but now where does the voiceworks go?
and what wiring do i need and how to hook it up?
I'm relatively new when it comes to external gear and routing so help would be greatly appreciated!
FMR RNP reconsidered
In the past I've made some fairly lukewarm comments about the FMR RNP ("really nice preamp") which I have owned since pretty early in my recording career. Well, I've poked around with it a lot recently and have a lot more respect for now.

fmr rnp mic preamp connection help?
Hello,
I am currently looking at getting a Fmr audio Rnp (really nice preamp) and am wanting to know the best way to connect it upto my computer.
I currently am using a PreSonus digimax Lt and a Behringer ada8000 mic preamp running ADAT to my soundcard (RMEhammerfall).

FMR RNC vs. dbx 266 XL
hey all
looking at these 2 compressors.
FMR more expensive but i've heard its worth the money. the dbx i hear is no a frills work-horse. will be using either one primarily for tracking though i plan to experiment with mastering in the future.
any opinions, comments suggestions?
thanks!

Digi 002R + RNP + RNC in the mail..
I'm assuming this is set up is going to sound way better than PreSonus firepod I've been using. I was just wondering if anybody has any experience with any of these pieces of gear? I did a search, but I couldn't find anything really good. I know I'm going to have to learn how to use Pro Tools, but I've heard it's very user friendly.. so we'll see!

Source for replacement knobs - FMR RNP in particular
So one of the knobs on my FMR RNP is has gone into the aether. I've sent an email to FMR, but have yet to hear back. Probably have to call during the week. Does someone know of a good source for small quantities of electronic parts? I've tried searching but I'm probably using the wrong name for what I'm looking for. These are 1/2" diameter knobs with a set screw on the side.
ART Pro VLA OR Focusrite Penta OR FMR RNLA ?
I do most of my work on computer although lately I want to rely more on my Alesis Ion synth as well as add a Dave Smith Instruments Mono Evolver Keyboard.

FMR RNC & GT Brick hookup problem!
I noticed that my Brick has a balanced output but the FMR RNC needs an unbalanced input!
How do I handle this? Can I "unbalance" the line before it hits the RNC?
Out of curiousity I tried going into the FMR RNC with a balanced cable anyway and it works but there is some hum. It's also pretty low level and I have to crank up both the Brick and the RNC to get decent levels.

FMR RNP vs. . Presonous MP20 anyone?
Sorry If this is in another thread, but I didnt see it with a really quick search. I cant decide between the 2 units (FMR RNP/Presonous MP20). I just need 2 decent/good channels of preamps for location recording into my Alesis Masterlink. I cant afford all too much and these 2 units are in my price range for now. I will be using handbuilt cardiods and omnis going into the pres.
