Will a Higher Range of Gain Affect My Recordings?
Basically I'm replacing a Firepod (circa 2006) with a Firestudio Mobile and I'm not overly clear on the difference between the two, mostly because the Firepod has been replaced by the F10 or whatever it's called and is no longer made, so I don't know what's changed between the two.
I do recognize that the gain ranges differ between the Firepod and Firestudio Mobile.
GT Brick problem...cuts out and gain VERY low
So Ive had this problem awhile but it comes and goes...but Im sick of it now.
Transistor gain and voltage supply question
If you have a 9v voltage supply and three transistor gain stages, does each stage see only 3v on the collector?

Overly simple question about setting levels and gain staging
I've always been cautious about my track input levels being too hot and one of the things that I've done to guard against this is to automatically pull the faders down for ALL of my instrument tracks in Logic from "0.0" to "-0.6".
Adjustable gain in the feeback path- thoughts and comments.
Just to get the ball re-rolling. .
So I am playing with a simple op-amp circuit to test a new PCB. I just need a quick adjustable gain so I threw a pot in the feedback path in a non-inverting configuation...
High Gain USB Interface for PC
Long story short, I am recording voice-overs so I need a USB PC friendly interface. I'll be using a Shure SM7B (client request), so I need something with quality, low noise, high gain pres. One (or two) channels is fine.

Recording massively high gain guitars
Hi, was hoping someone could help me with my sound.
I am trying to record 2 guitars both with massive gain levels to achieve the sound we are after. (Basically its a groove-metal rock band with most bias being on metal).
