So after reading the review of the H+K 0300D from Hugh (sound on sound) and the fact that they have now gone down, this month only, to £2000 I asked sound control to get a pair to audition. Well they arrived at the shop today. I went down armed with my trustee CD collection to the shop at about 11.00am.

I'm looking for some new monitors, anyone know anything about Genelec's new line - 8050?

Also, I need to get an amplifier to power a pair of Yamaha NS-10m. What do you recommend?

i am going to upgrade my JBL LSR 32 monitors. I have short listed above monitor. Please suggest me the better one. I am afraid of ADAM's ribbon Technology, Is these tweeters r rigid. In JBL I have problem with tweeter, (tweeters in JBL are very delicate). Please tell me wat to do?

Anybody tried the new 8030, 8040 or 8050 Genelecs yet ? I think I'm gonna get a pair of 8040's and my expectations are high but I have not heard them yet. If anyone of you have, please let me know what your first impressions were.

I am going to buy monitors this weekend and I have about 1000.00 to spend :?: I'm thinking Genelec 1029 or Mackie 624. Small studio (12x14) any other choices come to mind for anybody? I know this is an old topic but everybody has to learn. Thanks folks!

i hear the quested q108s are flat and the Genelec are coloured... what's your opinion?

I can find the Genelec 1029 used for around $650 and the Behringer Truth are $650 new... which one do you guys recommend? I felt the Gens very powerful for the size and with good lows and highs... the Truth sound a little more flat... but I didn't know the room at all and they positioning was quite different from one to another...
