Acoustic Guitar, Stereo or Mono?
Since an acoustic guitar is a single sound source, does recording in stereo sound realistic? I was doing an A/B with my song recorded with 2 mics, and the acoustic version of Dave Matthews' "Gravedigger" in which the guitar sounds great, but seems to be in mono.

Expert sugguestions on an advanced guitar recording setup
Hi, i'm looking for a few expert recording engineer sugguestions on how to possibly improve a guitar sound a bit. Firstly, i'll give a little background on my setup. I'm running three mics: One cardioid to isolate the sound, one condenser for a little bit of crispness and a tube in the room.

Which Guitar Recording Amp?
I'm looking for a guitar amp that's good for recording mostly a Fender Strat Plus with Lace Sensors and a Gibson Les Paul with PAF's. Music style is mostly pop-rock, rock, and blues. Good clean tone is more preferable than good distortion since I can get good distortion with pedals. Although, good of both is ideal. My budget is up to $600.

Recording guitar through Line 6 POD
Hi everyone, Ive got a client who wants his guitar reorder through a Line 6 POD, with no amp... Ive never recorded an electric guitar with no amp as its done sometimes with a bass guitar. What do you think of this? I told this guy its always better Micing (or miking, however its spelled) the amp with one or more mics, you can get some ambience, but he insists.

Opinions...acoustic guitar
I am currently looking for a new condenser mic for stereo Micing my acoustic guitar (Jean Larrivee), in my isolation booth. Presently, i record with an SE2200a and an MK012, through a dbx 386. It seems i'm lacking the natural and open sounds i'm looking for.
