Video - Home Recording- Five Key Things You Need?
Forums
Warren Huart, producer and engineer for acts like Aerosmith, James Blunt, Korn, and others, has this video on YouTube, where he talks about the 5 Key Things that every home studio should have. He also talks about the things that he feels aren't as important; most notably, pro level mics, pre's, converters and monitors.

Home Recording on Android smartphone?
Forums
Hi folks, new to this forum and also relatively new to digital recording. I'm curious if anyone knows of a way to do basic multitrack recording using an Android smartphone (I have a Samsung Galaxy S2). I'm looking for the capability to record from an externally connected mic or instrument, the ability to record at mic or line levels, and the ability to bounce tracks.

Budget Home Recording Rig, Suggestions
Forums
Im going to be setting up a home recording rig in a month or so but I need to know EXACTLY what i all need so i can buy it all in one trip and set it up, plug it in and go! There are a few problems. 1.) Im a professional drummer and a complete newbie at recording/mixing. 2.) Not sure what I all need. 3.) I want to keep the total cost under $1100.

Starting home recording
Forums
Hey all,
I've been writing songs for some time and am now looking to get into recording them myself. I'm aware of the various tools and such I will need, but I'm just gonna go one at a time, starting with a computer. There are so many options out there with so many different pros and cons, I feel as if I am drowning in information.

Article: How I Got into Home Recording
Forums
This is a recent article I wrote on my journey into home recording. I thought this would be an appropriate forum as it covers some very basic introductory and budget gear that would help beginners find their way into the same. Feedback is welcome as I plan on writing a series of these and am still working with tone/voice on this. Many Thanks and enjoy.
