Going to be setting up a new home studio.

I just kind of wanted to get some information and opions of the equitment i want to buy. First i want to get the M-Audio ProjectMix I/O. and then i want to get the M-Audio Octane 8-Channel Mic Preamp then a MIDI controller and last but not least the pro tools m powered 7.4. Now is this the right kind of set up to record drums guitar bass etc?

Cakewalk Home Studio 2002 - playback pitch, tempo of guitar is distorted

Hello,

I am using cakewalk home studio 2002 to record my guitar through a microphone that is plugged directly into the sound card in back of my pc and there is some sort of problem because when I play the track back the pitch and tempo of the guitar is distorted. I recorded a short 50 second track and made it into an mp3 file so you can hear what I am talking about.

Just about done with my home studio (pics)

Just thought I'd share what has been a labor of love for the past 8 months or so. I really should have taken "before" pics because this was a completely unfinished basement with green painted cynder-block walls and a concrete floor that was half tiled with 50 year-old tile. I used my phone for the pics which isn't the best but you get the idea.

Time to upgrade my home studio (step 1: audio interface)

Hey all,

I’m looking to finally upgrade some of my home recording equipment and I’d love some advice on the direction to go.

I’d like to be able to record 6+ tracks simultaneously to logic or live (2 vocals, 2-3 miCD amp, drum mics, midi instruments) on my macbook pro (2.4gHz/OS10.5)
