Looking for Home Studio Setup Coach in Austin, TX
I'm just starting to set up a Digital Audio Workstation and am looking for a coach who is familiar with all the tech involved, with the available equipment options, and who can guide me to the point that things are sounding good. and also act as a resource for later questions. We can figure out what a fair rate would be.
Newbie help with home studio
I'd like to buy some gear for a personal recording studio and I need help. My budget is $2000. I have a Korg Triton, and a MacBook Pro. I plan to buy Reasons and Nuendo because I'm a little familiar with them. I'm interested in production and recording vocals at home. I'm new to this as I have been using only my Korg to make music, but I'm trying to expand.

Home studio monitor speakers for £200?
Hi,
Would appreciate a little advice please.
I currently use an old cheap pair of speakers for monitoring and I'm looking to upgrade. I really dont have much cash though, around £200.
Could anyone advise on some monitor speakers for that price please?

Home studio - Balanced or unbalanced patchbay?
I am not new to recording, but I am just getting around to setting up my first semi-pro home studio. A few pieces of equipment that I have had for a while (compressor, interface, mixer) -- as well as a new headphone amp and effects box -- use balanced cables for some aux patches.
Potential Home Studio Setup
Im looking to get a mac notebook with Intel Core 3 Duo, 1GB DDR2 memory, 120 GB harddrive.
Is this enough to safely run with MAudio project mix, Pro Tools M-Powered, and reason at the same time? I will be recording the 8 inputs at the same time.
Should I get more memory?
