What was your first electronic keyboard?
Since we are all waxing nostalgic on the old keyboards (Thanks Alecio!), what was the very first keyboard you owned? And, just for fun, how did you amplify it?
Uncle Bobs first: The Farfisa Fast III with a Gibson Thor bass amp.
Oh boy am I dating myself!
Peace to all! :p:

the top 5 keyboards from 80's to nowadays
Hi! Keyboard magazine did similar polls a few years ago. I am not a keyboard player, but do love midi sequencing. I will start this:
1)Roland D50
2)Yamaha Dx7
3)Korg M1
4)Kurzweil K2600
5)Korg Wavestation

keyboard amp recommendations
I am currently using a fender super reverb (circa 1970) for a keyboard amp. I'm pleased with the sound that I get from it, but the weight/size makes it less desirable for gigging. Does anyone have any suggestions for mid to small size amps (preferably tube)that still retain a full sound? The amp will primarily be mic'd.

Recording simultaneous vocals/keyboard
Is is possibe to record these two sources (stereo keyboard sequence/vocals via condenser mic) AT THE SAME TIME direct into my duplex sound card?
Equipment available:
*Dell p4 2.4g
*Turtle Beach Santa Cruz soundcard (has 2 inputs...line-in and probably crap-ola mic input)
*Marshall V67 LD condenser mic
*Joemeek V3CQ
*Cool Edit Pro 1.0

Wireless keyboard-mouse?
Just a simple question:
Is it safe to go for a wireles keyboard-mouse for your DAW ? Will it add noise to the recordings?
I've done the mistake of having my Cellular Phone
close to the computor... and got some unpleasant sounds on the recorded wav's.
I just want to be on the safe side here.

Keyboards: The lost subject
C'mon... Doesn't anyone like to talk about synths around here? I mean we've got Nate here, and we just don't use him.
Nate what's you favorite synth these days? Or if you were to buy one tommorrow which would it be and why? (I know you probably already have em all).
