Recording Keyboard ?
Hi All,
Recording a keyboard is all new to me. I'm just have a small home recording setup. I'm might buy a Casio WK3200, it just has a headphone output though.
So the question is...can I use the headphone output as a 'line in' to my recorder ? I have a Zoom MRS1608 which has a 'line in'.
According to the Casio manual the headphone output is 200 ohms 5.5V.

Hi All,
I'm not sure if this is the right forum to ask this question under.
I'm looking to pick up a budget new/used digital keyboard to do some recording, to put down some simple tracks in my home studio on my blues songs.

Velocity-Sensitive roll-up keyboard for my suitcase?
Anybody know of a good velocity-sensitive roll-up keyboard? I'm going to Costa Rica for a semester and I'd like to take a keyboard with me... in my pocket... I've seen a few out there, but none seem to be velocity-sensitive AND have MIDI or USB outputs. Several have one or the other, but I've not found both in the same product yet. Anybody know anything about these?

cheap midi keyboard
I was looking into buying a cheap midi controller, probably about 50-100$. Im not much of a piano player so ill just use it to punch in some simple melodies; Im thinking that a 1 or 2 octave keyboard will be fine, right? What other features should I look for in a keyboard? could anyone recommend a good one for me? thanks alot.

How to play drum sounds using a keyboard
Hi there
I use a package called Drumkit From Hell to program drums (i place the audio files by hand in Logic which is time consumming, tedious and boring) but i really need to know how to be able to play the drum sounds using a keyboard. i obviously know that it can be done... but how? What software would i need?
I'm a Mac user, so it would have to be OSX compatible

keyboard player wanting to record
I am a keyboard player wanting to record songs with greater bass.
I recorded one album by sequencing 16 tracks in a Korg keyboard. I took it to a recording studio and he recorded my mix with vocals. The recording lacks depth.

Midi interface keyboard/synth?
OK, I have an M-Audio midi interface that is like a keyboard. It hooks up through the USb port on my computer. What I am looking for now is software that will emulate a typical keyboard on the computer. I pretty much want to learn how to play piano with my midi controller. Is there a software out there I can use, or do I need to get some external device and use that?

Recordin keyboards/Drum machines
Is the best way to record my Korg Triton to D.I. both left and right channels into a decent pre-amp i.e. Focusrite Octo Pre?
Should I record my synth parts in mono or stereo or does that depend on the sounds I'm trying to record and how the fill up the stereo field in the track I'm working on?
Also should I D.I. my Alesis SR16 drum machine through the pre-amp?
