Hello. I'm a bit new to MIDI recording so please go easy on any of my questions but..

My step-brother has an ol' keyboard a Casio CTK-700 "http://www.zzounds…" and I was looking to use it for MIDI with Sonar Producer, hooked up to my Firepod's MIDI In.

Hello people, i am looking to buy a midi controller keyboard and am a bit unsure which one to buy as there are so many out there. Could any one suggest which would be good for around the $200 mark.

I am a piano player and vocalist and now i am heading to commercial two man band (keyboard/guitar) party band playing and i need a suggestion which synth/piano/workstation to buy.

I was just wondering if anyone could chime me in on some quality synths or keyboards for a studio musician to use. I mainly need it to add effects and samples i couldn'tdo with other such devices. Im looking for somthing in the $300-$1000 price range. Any suggestions?

I have a very basic setup (Zoom MRS802B, RODE NT1, various acoustic, electric & bass guitars). .

I can play basic piano, and am now looking to record some keyboard parts (strings etc) into my songs. I have no idea about MIDI, sequencing, plugins and so on.

well i just bought one of these off ebay cause i thought i was gonna be pretty easy to use.

but it seams i'm to much of a noob in this recording industry to make things happene.

all it comes with is a USB cord and drivers and of course the keyboard.

how do i get this keyboard to work?
do i need more cable or something?

I know that the lows and highs are different with keyboard amps as compared to guitar amps but is there a compromise amp that has power and lows for keyboard and have good mids and highs for guitars in the $600.00-$700.00 range in one amp?

Just looking for a simple keyboard to use with an M-Box 2 so i can play sounds into Pro Tools, any in particular i should look at?

I'd sure welcome any advice on recording a keyboard. It's all new to me, I just have a modest humble home setup, trying to do the best with what I've got.
I've got a Casio Wk3200, I take a line-out of its stereo headphone jack and record direct to my recorder.

Can I use a standard run of the mill AC adaptor on a Casio WK3200 (or similar model) keyboard, providing of course they are the same, Volt and mA (milliamps) and pin configuration ?
