Can't Get It Loud Enough--?
I'm doing demos in my home studio using Cubase VST on a Mac. I'm mixing to stereo at 24 bits and then putting the mix through Cubase Dynamics for mild limiting and then BBE Sonic Maximizer, and then using the Dithering stage for the 16bit conversion. Then I burn to disc with Jam.

So I bought this band's new CD and I couldn't get through the first track, I opened it in peak to see what's up and guess what ? the whole CD looks like a friggin' square wave, is this the new trend or what ?

room Micing drums/and a realy loud band
I'm gonna record a real loud band. I usually use a V-drums system for drums but this time I want to record the drums 'real' I can use a very good room (15mx10m and 4m high). I want to make good use of this room for recording the drums, i have a RODE classic mic for this.

Best inexpensive Mic Preamp for recording LOUD electric
Hi everyone,
very loud Marshall head
Hi, I have a Marshall JCM800 100w! and I love the cranked up sound, but its just TOO LOUD! I heard from a guy that you can take 2 out of the 4 power tubes out, (you can only take out the ones on the sides, or the 2 in the middle). And he says it works, but Im wondering if taking 2 power tubes out will ruin my amazing marshall sound that I get now, or will it just make it different wattage?
