m-audio firewire audiophile

I went onto the m-audio website and according to one of the diagrams it says that since it has 2 firewire connections that you can connect the audiophile to your computer via one firewire and that you can connect a firewire external hard drive in through the other one? Am I interpreting this right and does anyone know if this will work?

M-Audio Audiophile 2496 wav recording

Okay, having bought one of these beasts, upgraded significantly from SB Live 5.1, I find that everything I put in via my Behringer Mixer into the rca in, gets distorted. It seems hard to get a decent sound into the mixer...or is it out of the mixer because the sound levels go into the red on the Audiophile Monitor Mixer (on the pc).

M-Audio's Revolution 5.1 OK for ASIO? Need 1 for 2nd PC.

Currently Im using an Audiophile on my first computer and am very happy with its rock solid driver performance.

I need another card for my second computer only for its ASIO drivers, so I won't be needing high quality ADDA, MIDI I/O.

Should I expect the same performance with M-Audio's Revolution 5.1 for vst instruments playing?

M-Audio Delta Audiophile 2496 and Cubase SX / ASIO question

Hey all,

I am using an external Mixer with my M-Audio Audiophile 2496 sound card. I have the main outs of the mixer going into my compressor, which is then fed into the sound card. The audio outs of the sound card go back into the "2 track input" of my mixer, so I can monitor the processed signal via my mixer.

MOTU vs M-AUDIO

Hey all, I'm new to this forum, just a question? Im looking at getting a new interface to start some more serious recording my my local area. Our band has done some of our own recording, (hows sending the 8 drum ch into stereo aux in on a sound blaster live! ). How embarrasing. Im looking at getting either a MOTU 896HD or a Delta 1010 (the external rack).
