I'm recording into analog mic inout 1 on the delta 1010lt and in the control panel there is still clipping. and I'm not doing something simple to remove it. i cant figure it out and i cant seem to see what I'm doing wrong. I'm testing the input levels using just a vocal and its still clipping, i know there are preamps built into the two analog inputs for the 1010lt.

If anyone has had experience with either interface, are the M-Audio preamps significantly better than the Firepod?

I have a firewire 410 from M-Audio. I need more inputs or preamps . Is there an 8 channel preamp like the PreSonus Digimax that i can hook up through the ADAT to add to the 410 so i can have more inputs? Maybe using the ADAT? or the firewire?

I purchased a hot rod PC from shop specializing in silent audio workstations. I am using Sound Forge 8.0 with, first, an m-audio: audio quattro usb 4 in 4 out box. The PC was randomly restarting and I was getting a lot of static and short dropouts in my recordings.

I need to buy a DAW to record e-guitar or acoustic guitar + voice directly into my PC, having to minimum latency possible to use live effects driven by software.

So which one is better? Mackie OS + Tracktion or M-Audio FW 410 + PT LE?

I was just at Guitar Center playing those really nice Korg keyboards they have and all of their keyboards were plugged into M-Audio BX5 not the new BX5a, anyway they sounded great, were really loud, and best of all for me nice and small.

Does anyone know much about these monitors?

I am a bass player and am working with my guitarist on setting up our first recording studio in his garage. I have a friend who does film and TV scores that is helping me come up with a decent, low budget studio. He has a Yamaha O1V he is willing to sell to us for a very good price. I am looking at the m-audio 1814 with m-powered Pro Tools into my guitarists mac.

I have very low budget and this is only pair i can get. Are they good or atleast solid?
And yeah when ill mix hip hop with tham I'm thinking to connect my cheap home theater woofer for it. Is that wise or i should mix just with monitors?
