LOGIC 7 - audio to midi ?¿
HELLO!
I saw somebody once capture the peaks from an audio track and convert them into a midi file. Using Logic Pro 7.
I cannot remember for the life of me how they did it!
Can anybody help?
ps. I can't get in contact with the guy who I saw do it.

cheap midi keyboard
I was looking into buying a cheap midi controller, probably about 50-100$. Im not much of a piano player so ill just use it to punch in some simple melodies; Im thinking that a 1 or 2 octave keyboard will be fine, right? What other features should I look for in a keyboard? could anyone recommend a good one for me? thanks alot.

trigger with midi
I just bought an Alesis DM Pro, and connected it up with my Korg Triton. For some reason the sound from the keyboard (Triton) is short and distorted.
Is it my trigger settings?

making midi drums sound as good as possible
So I have Cubase SL, and I mostly do demos of music i've written, and mostly for yuks. All I have for drums/percussion is the ones that came with SL. They call it the COMPRESSOR, and as much as that is an impressive name, and saying it makes my willy feel bigger, I am left wonton(by the sound of the drums, not necessarily by the size of...)

Midi interface keyboard/synth?
OK, I have an M-Audio midi interface that is like a keyboard. It hooks up through the USb port on my computer. What I am looking for now is software that will emulate a typical keyboard on the computer. I pretty much want to learn how to play piano with my midi controller. Is there a software out there I can use, or do I need to get some external device and use that?

Making MIDI Sound Real
I am in the middle of creating "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" for my grandparents birthday (wish they just liked socks). I have copied the sheet music into my sequencer (Cakewalk Music Creator Pro V2). I know there are a few steps that should be taken to humanize a MIDI map, for example, Altering Velocity, Altering Note On Time and Altering Note Off Time.

question about drum machine (midi) with pro tools
hi everyone, I'm kinda new at the recording thing so try to bare with me. lol. ok here it is. i have a Boss DR-670 drum machine hooked up with my Pro Tools digi002 setup. I was told that ihave to have an audio track opened with a midi track when recording anything midi. This did give me input and output volume. BUT.
Using MIDI in Cubase (exporting)
Since I don't have any sort of drum module, I want to use other software to create a MIDI drum track, and then import it into Cubase (LE). From there I want to be able to lay down other tracks (guitar and whatnot), and then export the whole thing as a .wav.
I tried this and everything but the MIDI was exported, simply put, the song was the way I had it but there were no MIDI drums.
