Mackie 1202 vlz with mbox.
hello. i've recently acquired a Mackie 1202 vlz micro mixer and am using it with mbox. would there be any signal degradation if if plugin all of my inserts (mpc2000xl, guitar, bass) into the Mackie and then attach the stereo outs of the Mackie into the analog inserts in the mbox?

Yamaha MSP10 v Mackie 824 v Fostex PM-2
Hi everybody,
I already know that a good pair of monitors is the one that we're used to and can produce good mixes with, meaning the ones that you find detailed and well balanced no matter the device where you listen to them (Ex:crappy mono device, car stereo, home hifi, clubs, etc...) .

Mackie SDR and hot swappable drive probs...
Hope someone can help, got 7 days to sort this out or despair before my client. . AAAAAAhhhhhhhhhhhgggggggrrrrr
I have a Mackie SDR and just bought a 60GB hard drive and a new cradle + bay to expand my recording time. I have formatted the new drive and left it as internal (Works tip top OK) and grabbed the original 20GB drive and put it into the bay to use as a hot swappable.

Buzz help with the Mackie spike
I recently bought a Mackie spike xd-2 to use with my AKG c1000 condensor mic. Prior to this, I used cool edit and a 30 dollar headset on a generic sound card and got some pretty decent equality out of it. (you can check my site for examples) With a better microphone and the spike i expected to outdo myself a few times over but the tweaking seems to be holding me up.

A/D Converter/Mackie ONYX Questions
I am looking to get a better A/D interface; I currently have the M-Audio OMNI Rack. I would really like to get the Apogee AD-16X! What are some converters that are a notch below the Apogee converters-MOTU, RME, etc? I have gotten suggestions to check out the RME stuff because of the quality to price factor of their products.
