Which do you all like the best and why? Any information would be most helpful.

I am new to computerized recording and I am looking to either buy the Mbox mini2 with Pro Tools LE or the PreSonus audiobox with Cubase LE. I realize the diffrences between the two products, but what are some pros and cons of both that you all like or dislike? Any information would be helpful. Also if you are bold, which would you buy for the money?

I was just about to buy the Digidesign Mbox 2 Mini, when I noticed it says that its not compatible with Vista SP1. Now I have Vista Home Premium (32 bit) so thats fine, but I have upgraded to Service Pack 1 .It says an announcment will be made in March 2008 ? and thats all there is on the website ?

So does anyone know if its compatible with Vista SP1 yet?

I've been messing around with my new MBox setup w Pro Tools LE 7.4 and have had not much luck in the Digi forums and compatibility req's pages for finding a FW card that I can connect to an external HD for dedicated recording goodness.

I bring the Mbox Micro up because I am a Cubase/PC user, but I want to learn and MIX in Pro Tools without buying another interface. I own a PreSonus Firestudio and any tracking I will do with that (at least for the near future). I am familiar with Pro Tools but I don't spend nearly as much time on it as I do Cubase.

THE QUESTION:

I plan on purchasing a Shure SM7B for hip hop vocals, and I also plan on purchasing the Mbox 2 with Pro Tools to accompany it in recording. I've heard about problems with using the SM7 with an interface/pre that doesn't have enough gain to handle it, so I was just curious if the Mbox 2 will work well to get solid, clean recordings with the SM7.

hey I'm looking for a good quality track so I'm buying a new recording set up...right now i have an Alesis USB mutlimix USB mixer and a Samson CO3 condenser mic.

I'm looking at this is this good will it give me better quality? if not what are some suggestions

Hi everyone, my first post! I am getting my son either MBox 2 PRO or the PreSonus firestudio project. I have the specs from the compays, but which is a better quality interface and which software will be easyer to learn. PreSonus comes with Cubcase le and M box 2 PRO comes with Pro Tools le and lots of plugins.
We do not want to be limited in expantion in the future.

Hows it going? I've been using the Control|24 and Digi 002 Racks/Mixer but right now I'm working in a smaller project studio just doing some vocals on a MBox 1. I'm running Pro Tools 6.9 LE.
