Hello fellow engineers and producers.
I have some questions for anyone,
who would like to through in some input.
First of all... let me explain my situation.

I'm really having trouble deciding what to do about a vocal mic. I would really like to have a U87 but that is one heck of a lot of money to put out right now. I've heard much talk about the AT mics but I've not heard one myself. So here are a few questions.

Has anyone tried the TT or the A-48? There doesn't seem to be much discussion of these mics anywhere.

Hey All,

I recently got a good deal on purchasing a factory matched pair of AKG C1000 mics. I'd love to get everyone's opinion on the pro's AND con's of this mic, BEFORE I open the box. I read that they can sound good as drum overheads OR acoustic guitars, stringed instruments. What do you think?

For some time now I've been looking at the MG 940 condenser mic and was wondering if it was worth making an investment. I know the companys history is tied to Mr. Neumann (Neumann microphones), so I figured the quality of their products would be somewhat top-notch. :)

For example, gain rides...
Classical stuff and so we already know of the nice and sometimes really wild dynamic range/content.

I've been eyeing these for a while. Anyone have experience? I really want to find a replacement for my C1 that I can use on guitar and vocals. The GT44 or 33 look good... Fletcher aproves of the GT44 (has meaning in some parts). I haven't heard much about the large diaphrams.

Has anyone used or heard of these mics... made and sold by George Georgiades?
