1,2 or more mics?
How many Mics for the guitar without getting problems with the phase. I've heard that some guys use mics with the off axis to the speaker/Cabinet or behind the Cabinet(?).Did anybody try that?

top end hyped mics
sorry for another "what mic is best" post, but:
i am just wondering what i should check out for mics [vocal, mostly] that have mad air on the top end...
preferably not wildly pricey.

versatile guitar duet/all-purpose mics?
I'm looking for mics for my home recording setup. I want to do 2 things - record acoustic guitar duets with a modestly-priced matched pair, and record casual jams with whomever is in the room - acoustic guitar, mando, drums, amplified guitar or bass, etc. I'm looking at the Studio Projects C1 or C3 for the matched pair, and the AT4033 or 4050 for the room mic.

Good CHEAP mics
I have been getting a lot of questions from readers of a sound advice column I write about getting their first P.A. system. I always suggest they buy SM57/58 mics since I really feel for the bucks they can't be beat but I'm getting questions about mics like the Behringer XS2000 which can be had for $20 each and the Samson R21 mics.

Mic Pre and Mics for Home Studio
I have a small home Studio with an 001. I am planning on cutting demo's and ideas for my band in my studio and want to get a good sounding mic preamp (2 channels) and a couple of mics (or 1 stereo mic) to use on overheads. I only got 1000-1500 to spare... any ideas?

Small diaphragm tube mics
Hi,
I'm considering buying a pair of Neumann (Gefell) M582. I was told that they are pretty much the same as Neumann KM54. Can anyone confirm that?
Thanks in advance.

Need To Upgrade Overhead Mics
I have a dead room with 7' ceilings. My current AKG C1000's seem harsh and brittle on the hats and cymbals.
Is there something that would give me a noticeably smother and rounder sound for under 1k/pair? And would stepping up another price level make a drastic difference?
