I hope this is the right forum, if not maybe someone can point me in the right direction.

I'm only researching at this point so I can't tell you what gear I use, because I don't have it yet. But, what I'm hoping to do is record a combination of MIDI and Audio tracks on a computer to be used as backing tracks for live performance. (I perform solo and in a duo).

So yea, not the best keyboardist in the world here -- can Logic Express 8 do on-the-fly quantization when I'm recording in regions? The clean-up work after a take is a bit tedious, though I must admit that it's got me thinking about all of the soul and flavor that a region-wide quantization strips out of a take.

I have two MXL condensers mics that I've been using quite a bit recently. I have been leaving them out and set up for my convenience.

As we are getting into the summer (Philadelphia, PA), I was curious whether the added humidity they will be exposed to would be detrimental to the mics (we have no AC in the house).

I use Acid Pro 4.0 and have been making some excellent beats. I use a few loops from CD, a few vocals with my microphone, and the rest I play on my Yamaha keyboard through midi. Inside of acid, everything sounds great, plays great. However, when I finally burn the project onto CD, it retains everything except the midi. I've tried reading the manual but that's some complicated stuff.

Hello, everyone, this problem I have is killing me. I am trying to record with midi. I can't figure out how to make it work. So... I want to know if I am at least plugging everything in the right way.

I have a Tascam-US 144, Triton extreme, and running Cubase le.

I have no problem getting MIDI from triton to play/record on Cubase or getting VST instruments to work. But I do have some questions.

I have pro tools le digi 001 and i did some piano midi tracks. I can export them and listen to them on my computer just fine, but when I try to open the midi file in cakewalk it is only half of the song . frustrating!

I have looked all over the internet and can't find a full-sized MIDI organ pedalboard for under $1300. I can't image why it would cost that much so I was just wondering if anyone had any information on something cheaper that might work. Thank you.

I'm new to MIDI products and was wondering if I used a software like Kitcore deluxe (A drum software) would I have to buy a midi interface, would it be possible to just use a audio interface and if it had to be a midi interface is this what I would be looking for?
