Searching For Post On Analysis Of Various Drum MIDI Grooves
Hi,
There was an absolutely -fantastic- post here a while back that I cannot now find. It was an attempt to analyze the MIDI timing of various styles of drum grooves. It showed specific examples of where one ought to place kick/snare/hat ahead or behind beat to create many popular feels.
Can someone give me a link to this?
THANKS!

MIDI/Logic assistance required!
Hey guys. I have a Yamaha P-155 digital piano, and a Lexicon Lambda USB interface. So far, I've been able to record the keyboard nicely via two cables (L and R) into the Lambda, into Garageband, and I've gotten some good results like this (thanks to your great suggestions on another thread!).

MIDI clock question
I would like to record sounds from a hardware synth but it has to be triggered from the DAW sequencer.
Do I have to turn off the MIDI clock inside the hardware synth to get more accurate timing?

MIDI hw interface for PC? for Mac?
Greetings -
I have a Roland F-90 digital piano that I'd like to record.
Can anyone suggest an inexpensive hardware interface would allow me to record into
i) a WinXP PC running Audacity?
ii) a Macbook or Mini running, say, GarageBand?
Thanks.

Need USB Audio/MIDI interface for Mac/Logic
I've been using digirack 002 through firewire 400 for years and been working fine on macbook pros but being a mac buff, I'm going to want a newer macbook pro eventually, which means no firewire 400. Definitely not the only one with this problem. But at the same time, I'm getting sick of digidesign's core audio problems and updating indifference.

Mixing MIDI drums: clipping/distortion.
I'm currently working on a music project in Garageband [yes, not the best DAW, but I'm comfortable with it, and I can't afford high-end DAWs]; while I think I'm able to mix most audio fairly well, I'm still having trouble with drum mixing. I'm using Addictive Drums for the drum input; while I'm able to "record" the MIDI tracks the way I want, I'm having trouble mixing them.

composition/midi
Greetings to all. It's been a few years since I worked on music compositions but have recently obtained a few composition jobs. This past summer I simply wrote out string/ guitar, oboe, & bass parts and either played them myself or had others play them while recording on pro tools (G3 5.1). I used to use Studio Vision in the old days and transfer midi tracks into Pro Tools.
