I am looking into the above (Audio interface eg. good mic preamp's with converters, usb, 2-8 xlr/TRS inputs without midi.

As my title suggests, is there a way to record a theremin to midi. I don't own one yet but wouldn't mind getting one in the near future. I'm also wondering if you can't is there a theremin plugin for logic.

This ought to be easy to figure out if I just had 5 minutes with the manual -- or, even better, with the actual equipment -- but since I have neither handy at the moment & I'm feeling kind of impatient I figured I'd just ask.

I've been using Ableton 8 and an Axiom 25 controller on a Mac Mini with Native Instruments Razor for a couple of weeks now. It works really well on Mac. However, it was a CPU monster so I literally bought a new PC for the express purpose of running many channels with the Razor plugin . Now I'm getting midi latency.

Please forgive my ignorance on this topic. There are some assumptions here based on the packages I have used. I don't like using the word "paradigm" but it fits here. I am using the word paradigm to broadly descrive the approach that a particular DAW has when it comes to editing midi sequence data.

I need help. I bought these two items because I thought they looked easy to use. Problem is I can't seem to figure out how to access the Midi Keyboard through Audition CS5.5. I'm trying to create a podcast and I have a few nerd video game music mashups i wish to work on this summer. can anyone help me please? :confused:

So we laid down some drum tracks tonight.

V-Kit--->M-Audio INterface--->Cubase 5

I went back after the session and ran the tracks through EZ Drummer (I know- that's all I have at the moment) and I notice the pitch of the snare changes throughout the tune. It actually sounds like it has chorus on it.

Hello everyone. I need help finding a DAW to suit my needs. What I need is basically a multitrack recorder that allows me to compose MIDI instruments through a score editor, not the usual piano roll. Besides that, I only need the basic stuff: audio tracks, VST implementation/effect rack, some envelope/automation capabilities, and that's it.

I write my own drum beats and save them as MIDI files. What's the best way to get them sounding real and awesome (without using a real drum kit)?

I use SONAR X1 Studio on a Windows 7 32-bit O/S.

Do I need to be using something like BFD2 or Superior Drummer 2?

Any advice on this matter is welcomed. Thanks

I have a Roland VDrums and I want to use MIDI to track my drums. Based on actual experience, what interface (hardware) can you recommend that have the least latency. I'm a Logic 8 user.
