So I am looking to upgrade. I currently use a Yamaha Audio gram 6 which basically only allows me to hook up my guitar (gibson j45) and mic (Shure sm57). I record using abelton live 8. I am looking to record me and my friends playing. So a Guitar, Bass, Mic and my electronic drum set would be nice as well.

Quick questions... I know that some groups have separate monitor mixers on stage. Just curious, but how do they get the inputs of the FOH board and the monitor board to correspond? Where does the signal split? Would I have to run a cable from every channel from the FOH to the inputs on the Monitor mixer? Or does it go through the monitor board first? Just a little confused...

Hello everyone, I need a bit of help. Im going for 2-Way Communication between my mixer a Behringer Eurodesk SX2442 FX and my Audio Interface a M-Audio ProFire 610.

Hi, I have a Behringer eurorack ub1832fx pro and I'm trying to hook it into my pc for recording. I dont expect it to sound perfect and i know i could use an interface but i was just wanting to hook it right in my pc to mess a round for now.

From your point of view, do you prefer mixing an acoustic or electronic drum kit? An acoustic kit might be more challenging and fun (mic choice, placement, mixing w/ gates, comps etc.), but an electronic kit removes stage noise and gives far more control over the overall mix. What do you think and have you had the opportunity to mix both?

While I'm fairly comfortable on the playing end of things, I know nothing at all about recording. I was given a BOSS BR-900CD as a gift, and am attempting to make some use of it right now. I also got a Fishman Loudbox Mini (acoustic amplifier) for Christmas, and it has an external speaker jack.

My question:

I've got an M-audio audiophile 2496 interface, and I was thinking about going with a Berhinger XENYX 1204, but am open to other options. Looking for affordable.

Just looking to do one track at a time recording, with probably a SM57>mixer>2496 interface>Reaper.
