hey guys,

i just bought a BLA PM8 to use with my 4 in / out lynx card and have a few questions in regards to how I set it up. Given that I have always worked inside the box I never had any experience with consoles.

Would I connect the BLA PM8 only when I am exporting my mix? Would I benefit at all from monitoring from it?

Hi, I have a new Behringer Xenyx X1222USB mixer hooked up to my computer with Windows 7 and Audacity hooked up directly with the USB cable. I have been doing some tests. In my earphones my voice and every adjustment can be heard nice and clear. When I make a recording, I change the highs and lows and can hear them live in my headphones.

Hey, I know this quesion had probably been asked before but in just coming into music tech and was hoping someone could sort out my confusion.

so i am trying to figure out what i need for the following.

so i'm building a band with that will eventually be 7+ people.

all the bass/guitars are going direct to pa, or mixer, you know, no amps with acoustic drums and horns

so i need a lot of inputs on this mixer/audio interface.

As I have stated, I am a noob just trying to learn in a controlled area..

Are there mixers that allow you to have a different output for multiple inputs.
Or is there a way to get this to work?

I would really like to be able to control the levels for multiple outputs from one location so it is easier to adjust.

Hey I got Pro Tools 8 LE--M box mini, and I'm comping vocals but I want to get a little mixer so muting and everything is so much easier.

Went to guitar center and the guy tells me none of their mixers will work with pro tools--only pro tools 9 and 10 offer that option.

If I have to plug my guitar direct into a mixer during a live gig through a direct box, what is the difference when connecting the other end into the mic input vs the line input of the mixer? Is it better going into the mic input, if so, why?

Hey all I have been playing guitar for quite a few years. And now that I have graduated and got a real job I have been able to spend money on things I like to do.
I recently got a Behringer xenyx 802, I do love it, but theres one thing that I am having problems with. I don't think it is the mixer it self rather than the method of what I am doing.

First, let me say: this is not the first time I'm setting up an in home recording studio, but it is the first time I'm doing it correctly.
