Hey all I have been playing guitar for quite a few years. And now that I have graduated and got a real job I have been able to spend money on things I like to do.
I recently got a Behringer xenyx 802, I do love it, but theres one thing that I am having problems with. I don't think it is the mixer it self rather than the method of what I am doing.

I plug my guitar in to my GNX4 and that into my mixer, I also take the headphone jack from my computer and plug that into another channel with a 1/8 in to 1/4 in adapter. I do this so I can listen to my self play with a backing track and control the levels of both and balance within my head phones. Recording I have my mixer plugged into my computer and I use Audacity,because its cheap and easy.

The problem is, the line from the computer to the mixer. I rarely get it to have the full sound. If it is plugged into the adapter all the way I get only one side of the track (like vocals drums and bass) and if I pull it out a little bit, sometimes I can get full sound, but most of the time I get the opposite of when it is fully plugged in.

Does not affect the sound of thee guitar, just backing track from computer.

I probably did a horrible job explaining it, if theres anything I can clear up just let me know and I'll do my best.
