Mixer for recording a Podcast

Ok, well I'm sort of a newbie. Basically, I'm looking to record 1 - 4 condenser mics simultaniously into Audacity or audition. I'm looking to be able to control each input independently as well as hook up head phones to accompany each mic.

Questions:

What kind of mixer should I get? I would like digital and usb connectivity

Dual Effects Mixer for Live - recommend

I'm now using Yamaha EMX5000 with Dual Effects...I like it so much. But seems the new latest model dosn't provide the quality of the effects as pretty as the older version...Looking for an Extra mixer,means i wish to grab a more piece for Live purpose...need your suggestion..

Mackie CFX16 MKII 4 Bus Mixer 16 Channels with digi 002 rac

i started working out of my buddies studio and he has a Mackie CFX16 MKII 4 Bus Mixer 16 Channels and use Cake Walk Sonar for recording, and i am a Pro Tools guy, i was wondering how i would be able to hook up my digi 002 to his Mackie without interrupting his wiring and having to re-wire every time i use the studio ?
