Digital Mixer For Garageband
I'm looking for a digital mixer to use with garage band or logic studio. It would have to be USB because apple decided that the new macbook users weren't good enough for firewire. Im having a hard time finding a USB mixer that would work with garage band. And It would need to be under $300. Please Help! Thank you!

Beating Pro Tools with a mixer
Hi,
This is my first post. Hope you guys will be patient with me. My question is, i have invested in pro tools m powered, and now I'm wondering about what interface to buy. I think that I'd like the option of at least being able to try recording drums at home, if possible, but I'm a student, so spending lots of € on an interface is unfortunately not what i want to have to do.

TRS out of mic preamp into mixer = bypass mixer pre?
i do all my tracking with a Mackie onyx mixer w/firewire
if i buy a separate preamp (isa one, trident, whatever) then i obviously want to bypass the onyx pre. if i run the 1/4" output of a preamp into the 1/4" input of the onyx mixer, then i'm bypassing the onyx's preamp, is that correct?
just making sure my ducks are in a row before i go out and buy lots more gear
1832FX Mixer Setup for Subwoofer(s)
I acquired a Behringer XENYX 1832FX mixer; all works fine. But, I can’t seem to discreetly hook up a sub-woofer to it.
This is probably a simple question but, getting it right has eluded me. I have read through the manual several times and, the langauge just makes my eyes glaze over. It seems geared more to “Recording” approaches than straight “Playback” and “Setup” techniques.

Mackie 1402vlz Mixer
Hello, happy holidays! I have a question to see if anyone has experience with this mixer. I'm going DI 1-2 on my mbox from the mixer, so I can use the pre's on the mackie. I'm getting a hiss, low level but annoying. Is this normal or can I get around it somehow? The pre's on the mixer are much better than the mbox, that's why I want to use them. Is this a good idea or am I adding to much noise.
