Mixers...

I was considering buying a mixer for my home recording studio. What I would prefer is a mixer that would last me a couple of years, so I don't end up upgrading. My budget for mixers is around $200 and under, but if I really have to, $300. I'm new to mixers so I don't know if 200 dollars is enough to buy a good mixer.
Thanks

What is the difference between an audio mixer and an audio interface?

If you think this is a stupid question, then I'm sorry for not knowing and just getting into recording.
But I just wanted to know what the difference was. I already have an audio interface (Lexicon Lambda) but I'm thinking about getting an audio mixer, but aren't they the same thing? Or what...
Thanks

Can someone help me with my channel mixer

Alright got no idea how to use this thing lol no one told me how just said with my MXL 990 mic that i'd need a channel mixer or preamp, couldnt afford the amp so I got the mixer and don't know how to properly use it or set it up. can someone help me or make me understand it better? I'm working with Audcaity as my recording software until I can get my adobe products back.

Why am I getting sound cancelling through my mixer?

I have sound coming out from outputs 1 and 2 from my Hercules DJ Console RMX I have already tested the output sound and know that it is working correctly.

I used the two 1/4" aux outputs, each one to a channel on the mixer.

When the sound is playing through the mixer with both channel volumes up, the bass sound is completely cut!

Summing mixer

Hey,

I admit, I'm not fully up to snuff with it all yet. I'm still trying to understand what I should keep from the old days and what I should be adding.

My DAW setup is getting close to operation. Its not an easy process working this site, having a family and another job all at the same time, but I'm getting there, crawling or not!
